The latest updates to the website for the new syllabus include additional interactive Quizlet activities. Students can choose their preferred Quiz format from the drop down menu (Flashcards, Match, Learn, Test, and/or Spell) to revise in fun and engaging ways. Students now have the option for Quizlet to read out the clues - great news for auditory learners. Examples include:
- A new interactive Quizlet for Topic 4.2.5 (Fiscal policy measures) (for the new syllabus) has been added here.
- A new Quizlet for Topic 4.6.2 (Measurement of unemployment) has been added here.
Other updates include:
- A new set of Paper 2 exam practice questions for Topic 2.9.4 (Consequences of market failure), based on Australia's recent ban on social media consumption for young people, have been added here. As we know, parents and teachers bear many of the external costs, not the large tech firms that up to now have been left unregulated. There is also a model answer to the 8-mark question included here.
- Subtle differences between the legacy and new syllabus, such as in Topic 3.7.1 (Competitive markets) - resources for this new learning outcome "Effect of having a high number of firms on price, quality, choice, and profit" can be found here.
- Paper 1 and Paper 2 Worked examples for Topic 4.2.1 (Government budget) have been added here for the new syllabus.
- A new True or False Quiz for Topic 5.3.1 (Factors that affect population growth) has been added here. There are 15 F/T questions in this quiz (new syllabus). The site page also has updated Paper 2 exam practice questions and mark schemes, based on the declining birth rate in the Republic of China (Taiwan).

There are several key functions to Student Access:
- Students have access to all notes related to the contents of the course. Essentially, they can use the website as a comprehensive e-textbook for the entire course.
- It allows students to directly access most, but not all, pages (such as examination papers and mark schemes, as well as other teacher support materials).
- It enables teachers to create tasks for their students (refer to the Smart Quizzes section of the website).
- It helps to consolidate student learning and facilitates revision (such as the Paper 1 MCQ tasks, which all come with answers that have explanations).
- It allows teachers to monitor the progress of their students using the grade book.
To get started, go to the Student Access tab in the top left corner of the home page.
We know at InThinking that the strength and growth of the community of teachers using our sites rely on word of mouth. If you are enjoying the website, please share your insights through your own connections and social networks. We are certainly keen on hearing from you, guiding the site's future developments. Testimonials for the InThinking Economics website can be found here.

Content on the InThinking IGCSE Economics website exceeds 660 000 words. To put this into context, a 320-page IGCSE Economics textbook for the new syllabus is typically around 160 000 words. InThinking IGCSE Economics includes more than 380 interactive quizzes, 1000 interactive auto-marked MCQs, revision flash cards covering the entire syllabus, and a growing question bank of exam practice questions and mark schemes for Paper 1 and Paper 2.
