March 2024 Updates and Notices

Dear InThinking subscribers

Welcome to the March Newsletter.

With exam season just round the corner, most of the updates on the website over the past month have focused on helping students to prepare for their external exams. Timetables for the external exams can be found on the Cambridge website here.

Some of the updates to the InThinking IGCSE Economics website include the following:

  • A new section on top revision tips has been added here.

  • Advice for calculation questions in the exams can be accessed here.

  • There is a comprehensive set of Revision flashcards to help students with their revision here. Each time students attempt a quiz, there will be 10 different flashcards, so be sure to revisit and refresh the website for more practice.

  • There is a full glossary of key terms that can be accessed here. Students should bookmark this page to help with their revision programme as definition questions appear in Paper 2. Understanding the terminology in the syllabus will also help students in their Paper 1 exam.

  • It is vital that students understand the meaning of the different command terms in the syllabus so that they can address the demands of the questions in the final exams. Details on the command terms can be found here.

  • New Paper 2 Exam Practice Questions for Unit 3.8.2 - Monopoly markets have been added here.

With exams fast approaching, why not activate Student Access for all of your students? This is completely free of charge and enables your students to access the entire site - you control what they can see and when. There are interactive Paper 1 MCQ tests for almost all sections of the syllabus. These are self-marked and you can get the results sent straight to your digital markbook. Answers are also provided to support students' understanding. At the time or writing, there are currently 706 students using the site, free of charge.

You can activate this via the Student Access link from the homepage. https://www.thinkigcse.net/economics/
